just my .02 probably too late aswell.. i read somewhere a year or 2 ago and fully agree. Red is the most Over used color on street rods.

However, this build is still amazing , and i will keep fallowing it, because just watching makes me feel good inside, knowing id die for one of those cars but will never have one.

Unless i can find a good deal on a kit car !

Well yea I can see that about the red paint. We are going to add a bit of metallic flake to it and do black ghost flames. NO STRIPES. Besides its 69 camaro and around here I dont see many of them driving around. Mine is not going to sit in the driveway either.

Cool pics so far. Like cplthomas, I too am jealous as jealous gets for seeing everyone else's ride getting worked on while mine is in the garage and I haven't really done anything to it for almost a month now...

Thanks for taking the pics, I really appreciate it!!!

The biggest thing that I am jealous of is that you are wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts in the pics. It was 2 degrees this morning when I left for work, which means, put the heater on in the garage at noon, by 5 it should be warm enought to do a little work.
Progress looks great, I was thinking of a very dark red with black stripes, but you've intrigued me with the black flames, got any pics of an inspiration that made you lean that way?

THAT IS BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD... Now I wanna do that... Too bad that my painting skills are not to that level so I guess I'll have to go with stripes...BECAUSE I LIKE THEM.

Well we have decided to not do the ghost flames. This extra step will cost me an extra $1500 to do and since this is going to be my DD I have several things to consider......like daily abuse....if this were going to be a show car or something I just drove on the weekends then I would put the extra money into it. but for now I have decided to go with the 69ss side stipe. Something like this but in black.

Looks like some great progress, I like that dark red, I see that ghost match in the back must be for your flames. I'm sure, like you, I can't wait to see how it turns out.
