Looks good so far. Keep going. You have a lot to work with. I had to buy a lot of new parts to get past the rust.

Thanks.

I found one inner front wheel well, the battery tray, the mount on the radiator support that all needs replaced. I'm hoping I can just weld in a new mount on the radiator support, but I may have to replace the whole thing.

That's the rust just on the front clip. I'm also finding some on the lower edge of the firewall. But... I'll know for sure after the blasting.

I'm not as far along as I wanted to be. The tranny is still in, master cylinder is still on the firewall. But, it'll come along as it can, I guess.

I'm still stoked about it.

I'm thinking about painting this car satin orange with satin black Z28 style stripes.

What do you all think about that? Any comments?

Has anyone ever seen a satin orange paint job?

This is good..... no?

But I just found out I have a 2 bolt main. I'm a little bummed about that.

Got my 350 all cleaned up and painted today. Ordered an aluminum high flow water pump, aluminum pulleys and oil pan today also.

I'm rethinking the paint color now that I've seen this antifreeze green. Man, that is nice!

Got some shinies in the mail and put them on yesterday.

I pulled the transmission, looks like it's a Saginaw according to this: Camaro - Transmission The Saginaw will be going away and I hope to find a Muncie. The 10 bolt rear will hopefully also be finding a new home and hopefully be replaced with a 12 bolt.

And an ITM (Inland Tool & Mfg.) shifter??? WTH?

So hopefully next weekend it's going to the blaster. The body panels are all solid, it's the subframe, underneath, inside and trunk I'm having blasted. My fingers are crossed.

Sweet. Good luck and can't wait to see how it looks when you're done. The green paint job is slick.
