Help choosing Engine parts
Need some expert advice or even expert opinion? So I have a 6.0 Iron Block with aluminum heads. I was wondering what engine parts would give me the best chances of longevity, give me High Performance and be reasonable on cost?
This is going in my 69 Camaro which isMini Tubbed, has a 4LE60 4 speed auto tranny, 4 link suspension, front tubular A Arms and adjustable coil overs, running 20x12 Rushforth Racing rear wheels and 19x8 1/2 fronts, with a Mosier 12bolt rear end with Eaton
I have Turbonetics Turbo as well.
Thinking about running a Brute Speed hot cam.
****What injectors (60lb?), intake manifold, valve springs, or any other parts do indeed to meet my objective? What fits and works??
I'll attach pictures of my car as soon ask can figure it out lol.
-Thanks,
Joe

I am no expert, but my buddy builds engines for a living. (have learned a LOT from him) I know the first thing he always asks his customers is what they plan on doing with the car? Are they going to take it to the strip every weekend and pound the crap out of it, do they want huge HP that they can beat on/drive occasionally, or are they looking for a daily driver with some decent power?
Knowing what you plan on using it for greatly changes what the term "longevity" means.
I have also learned that running a turbo or a blower completely changes what internals you will need.
Good luck in your build, and I hope to see some Pics!

I'm no expert either, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn, so if you tell me more about the engine you're referring to it might help. Is the 6.0 iron block a 350 Chevy, or has it been swapped to something newer that's a 6.0 size? And which aluminum heads does it have?
2001 chevytruck 6.0 with 317 Aluminum heads. Just bought FAST Fuel rails (high flow), Bosch 80lb injectors, and a FAST LSX Intake Manifold. I think it's a 75mm Accufab throttle body. still need the Brute Speed Hot Cam, and Patriot Dual Spring Valves.
What else do i need?
Thank you for your assistance.

A good cam is probably the best thing you can do for the LQ engines to bring them up to LS type HP. The springs will help the roller cam stay in contact and make it work better too. Unless you're going racing, I'd probably stick with what you have planned now, and make sure you've got good airflow in and a good exhaust sytem out.
