Ok here is my issue. We were babysitting some youngsters and the nine year old wanted to see the Camaro. He immediately ran to the drivers side door and slammed down the door lock. Since then, I cannot get the door unlocked and open. I removed the inside door handle, window crank and mounting screws but cannot get the panel off. I can move the door lock shaft up and down but it fails to unlock. I've tried moving the outside and inside door latches while moving the lock shaft up and down with no success. Please Help!!

 

Have you tried to unlock the door from the outside with the key?
