Want to hide my AC evaporator hoses and have a clean firewall
I have a 69 Camaro that I am rebuilding. We have replaced most of the sheet metal on the car and now it is almost time to put the engine back in. But I hate that bulky heater box sticking out of the firewall and the A/C hoses coming out of the firewall.
I want to clean the firewall so there is nothing coming out of it that can be seen and hide the A/C hoses in the fender. That means I have to have the evaporator inside the car and router the hoses out through the fender.
Has anyone tackled this before. I am trying to find an evaporator at our local junk yard that I can use to do this but haven't found one that looks like it will do the job.
Any ideas?
