Can the hide-aways be removed and swapped out with regular headlights on 1st gens without much trouble ?

Yes it can. If a 69, all you need to do is bend back the fender side tabs that the headlight housings were bolted to, and swap headlight assemblies and grille. If a 67 or 68, you also want to change the lower valance, as the RS has the front marker lights down low, but the standard model has the lights in the grille. What year is yours btw?

 

Thanks C-69..this is what I was hoping for..haven't got one yet..this will be my first camaro and I'm finding some nice 67/68/69's that have the hide aways and I just don't favor the look..Thanks again for your help!

 

Well, if you find a 69, we can swap. I would like to someday change mine over to the RS look.
