Default turn signal issues with 68

hey guys,
im new here and i hope i can find some help. i have an issue with my turn signals on my 68 coupe. its a colum shift colum.
the harness is original as well as the light sockets. i have replaced the turn signal swtich in the colum as well as the flasher.
heres whats happening. the flashers will work fine. all 4 lights will flash.
if i hit the turn signal the front and rear light of the sidei selected will come on and stay solid. the brake lights work fine as well as the fornt running lights.
i have no idea where to start. i am assuming i will be chasing wires.

anyone have any advise or experienced this themselves?

thanks in advance for the help.

Yes, you will be chasing wires. I bet you have a ground not connected somewhere.
