Default transmission oil leak

hello,
for 1st gen camaros, if it has not been driven for a while, is it possible for the seal to shrink and cause a leak? if so, will it stop leaking once you start driving it? i am looking at a 1st gen camaro for a possible purchase and noticed some oil leaks on the floor. thank you.

Automatic trans? The o-ring seals in the speedo gear housing can have a tendency to leak if the car sits for a period of time, and not leak if the car is driven regularly. It's an easy fix if it doesn't quit completely though.
