Default Steering upgrade..

I'm looking to update the steering on my 68 camaro. The car feels very sloppy and scary to drive at times,so it's time to upgrade. Looking for some info, part #'s previous experiences, etc. On how to go about getting more performance out of my car.

The car has a 350 sb and a 4 speed manual trans, I want the feel of a newer car and more performance out of my steering. The car is my daily driver and weekend autocross car..

I really have no idea where to start, I've never really messed with steering..
Thanks in advance..

You could start by rebuilding the front end, and changing the steering box to a new after market unit with a fast ratio. Or if you have the time and money there are kits available to change everything out on the front end with a modern set up, including rack & pinion steering
