Steering box adjustment

Default Steering box adjustment

Notice'd a lock nut on top of the steering box on my 68, my buddy said if u adjust the allen screw inside the lock nut it will tighten the worm gear. Does this sound correct ?

You may improve some of the play in the steering. Keep in mind there are a lot of connections between the round thing in your hand and the round things on the ground. There is likely plenty of wear at all of the connection points. The simple answer is yes it will help, but don't overtighten it.

You might get a little play out of it, but as pyroted said.... don't tighten it to much
