Not really sure, maybe bring it back and compare with some others? Mini starter?

I would just get on ebay and buy a mini starter. I did this the other day, got it in and installed it with no issues. Screw autozone, those people have no clue.

You have the 153 tooth SB flywheel. The BB flywheel has 168 teeth on it. The SB is 12.75 inches and the BB is 14 inches.

Also make sure the bolt holes in the starter housing will match up to your block.

Some starters don't have the dual pattern and some blocks don't have the dual bolt holes tapped into the block, so make sure you check that as well.

There is a reason Autozone had a lifetime warranty... and it's not called quality

Last year Autozone squeezed it's supplier even deeper, and that saving is passed onto the customer in the form of "warranty".

I have a starter nose for the 153 tooth flywheel. I could send it over to you if you pay shipping. FWIW, it is probably easier to just get the right one at Autozone. PM me if you want the nose.
