Default Sealing oil pan

Tore my 327 down to replace seals, fix leaks, clean and paint. During reassembly, I used RTV on both sides of the oil pan gasket. The rubber arched pieces on the end, I RTVed between the block and the seal but not between the seal and pan. Is this a problem? And if I remove the pan to reseal it, to I need new gaskets? Finishing the intake and valve covers this weekend.

I have a 1979 Z-28 with a supercharged small block .And I used a Fel Pro one piece oil pan gasket with a little dab of RTV,With no issues. The tech is out there might as well use it

cool, didn't know that was available. I was hoping someone would tell me I didn't have to drop the pan, but I sorta knew that wasn't the case. Since I'll need a new gasket anyway, maybe I'll look for that.

Bought the Felpro rubber gasket. What a difference! miles better than the original multi-piece cork one. Good call!
