Power Steering conversion
Hi, I am doing the IROC power steering conversion to my 67 Camaro that currently has manual steering. About have all the parts, but the pressure valve in the pump is a problem. The donor car did not have the pump in it anymore to get the valve out of it. The question is where can I get the 1400PSI valve for the IROC steering box that will fit in a 1967 Power steering pump? Source, Part number?
Thank You

I did the power steering upgrade last winter and I used a box off a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While I was at the Junkyard I was told to pull the pressure valve from the pump so I did. When I ordered a new pump (I was going from manual to power so I had to order everything) it came with a high pressure valve, so i didn't use the one I pulled from the junkyard. I don't know if the one that came from the JGC is 1400 psi but I was told it would work.
If you want it, pay for the shipping and its yours

Hi, thank you for the offer, but found one at LeePowerSteering. So now down to the pitman arm and the idler arm,. Pozzi says need a different idler arm for power steering, but the Assy Manual doesn't show a different one , Shows same one for man or power. Does look like power steering pitman arm is shorter for the 67 , so wondering what difference it makes between long and short arm?

They probably meant to say pitman.
I’d ask them for a part number for the new idler arm. See what they say.
But there is definitely a difference between the manual and power pitman
