ZZ454 oil pressure

What is an acceptable oil pressure at idle for a ZZ454? The manual, and Summit say that 5 PSI at idle is OK. That seems real low to me even if it picks up with RPMs.

Rule of thumb is 10 PSI per 1000 RPMs. Also you want to test your oil pressure with a good handheld gage. You can verify the hand held gage with regulated shop air. Dash gages tend to not be the best unless it’s a high quality one with oil running to it. I never trust the ones that use a sending unit. Either way I would verify the reading. Regardless of the above rule I would be worried about verified 5 psi at idle for a performance engine especially if it was a new or it loss oil pressure in a short time period.
