My question is;
Is the rear panel on a 68 SS, semi black or gloss on a car that is Black?

 

I don't think I've ever seen a black car with a black rear panel, or at least one that I recognized. If what you're trying to do is match what would have come from the factory, only the big block cars rear panels were painted this way and all that I've seen were flat black.

 

Yes Peterpar, My car is a SS big block, the original color was rally green (code JJ), it did have a semi gloss rear panel. I am changing the color to Black (code AA)

 

Black SS396 models did not get the semi gloss rear panel treatment, it would have the same black paint as the rest of the car.
