Default Orange Mystery Wire Under Hood

Just bought a 67 Camaro convertible. Trying to sort out a few electrical problems.

I found an orange wire, (end is cut off) that runs down passenger side of engine, near firewall, taped up with the purple and yellow wires that connect to the starter.

What is this wire for, or where is it supposed to connect?

I can't find it in my AIM.

I followed it back to the drivers side firewall near the fuse panel. Also checked it for continuity with each of the fuses, No luck.

Thanks

Roger

The heater blower motor has an orange wire. Wire connection is hidden behind the passenger fender well.

My car has AC. Would this orange wire still be needed with AC?

The fan blows on all 4 speed settings. But it doesn't blow very hard.

Just found it in the AIM. It says for AC cars to coil it up and tape it to the engine harness.

Thanks for the help.
