Default Opinions needed

New to me 68 camaro, one owner california car in great shape. 327, Power drum brakes and 2 speed auto. Need guidance on upgrades, dont want to change the car too much as it is totally original and just painted. Owner stalled on way home from paint shop and let it sit for 2 years could not get it running. Said the alt light stayed on even with the key out so he disconnected the battery and after many offers to buy it from me finally gave in.
1. Want to discs on front at a minimum but is it worth doing the rears as well? and do I need to change the hard lines in either scenario? I know the MC needs to be changed if i do front discs only and a prop valve added but if i do 4 discs can i run the standard mc?
2..350 vs 700 r4 opinions needed Any other auto boxes worth consideration.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and opinions , I know these issues have plenty of threads but I am curious to see if anyone replies with a leave it alone opinion.

As far as front discs are concerned do you want to use the std camaro
front disc set up or an aftermarket set up? What is your goal for the car,
do you want to do a few nice improvement upgrades or go all out bad ***;?
What kind of budget do you have??? Until you know what you want its difficult to talk rear discs. The
more braking performance you buy the more suspension pieces you need to go with it. If you really go max, you should replace all 4 springs ,shocks , sway bars, redo all front suspension bushings, tie rods,
ball joints, tubular control arms and the like. As far as transmissions, the 700 R has an extra gear, better off the line perf. but then you need a modded trans cross member and you need to shorten the drive shaft. Do you have a 10 bolt or 12 bolt rear end? If you are going hi perf you should
switch to a 12 bolt .How much do you want to spend? ed

I would only add the front disc's. Assuming it has the completely original drivetrain, I would leave that as is.
Original numbers matching cars are always worth more.

Then don't change anything. Pointless to change over the brakes if your looking to keep the oem value.

Good safe idea on the front brakes. Drums really suck when you go back to them after miles on disc brakes.
