Default NEW MEMBER HERE!!!!! some *upgraded* questions inside

HI ALL i bought a 69RS Numbers matching "please excuse the SS badges I am getting the RS for the front and back" and I LOVE IT. i am upgrading to a 4 wheel disc brake and i cant seem to find any good ones. i am also looking to upgrade the suspension. i like the rake look "Lift in the Back" and do not want to use shackles. i have searched google for months now and have not found anything. can you guys point me in the right direction of some forum sponsors possibly? I am in germany and i think these upgrades are a must due to there curvy roads and autobahn speeds. here are some pics of my baby.

Welcome, and nice car! You say the car is "numbers matching". Is it a "matching" 350 as the fender badge says? If so, then you have an RS/SS model (350 only came with the SS), and the SS badges would be correct (no RS badging with the RS/SS combo). Your car also has an SS hood.
For the rear suspension, jacking up the rear is fine if you're after tire clearance, and you can do that with higher arch springs, or have yours re-arched. But the car will handle the curvy roads better the lower it sits to the ground.

Thank you, I must say I'm jelouse of your 393 small... very sharp!!
Well I do have all the original sales paperwork from New Jersey with the stock numbers. All are right even the Engine block... The paper trail ends in 1988. However, around 2004-2005 the owner had the body taken in to get repainted, and thats when the SS and 350 badges showed up. The engine is the numbers matching 307. I have replaced the Rochester 2 barrel and old school air breather, that has the 307 sticker.

I tried ordering parts from different venders to get the springs, but its hard to find a place that can ship to APO addresses. Do you have any suggestions on where to buy from?

NO, I'm jealous...I always wanted an RS! To even go as far as putting 350 badges on it? Sheesh!
Anyway, I don't know of anyone other than one of the major suppliers that you probably already tried. What about ebay, some vendors there ship international. Do you have a spring shop anywhere near you? They can give more of an arch to your existing springs. But are you sure that's what you want to do? You could also add a sway bar in back to help in the corners. Also make sure your bushings aren't shot. Urethane bushings instead of rubber will help to keep the side sway down, especially at the spring shackles.

Well I have good news... I found a website that ships to APO that won't charge an arm and a leg http://shop.stevescamaroparts.com/ I just got a four disk conversation kit. Have you ever ordered from them before? Where do you get your parts from?

Good deal. I've usually dealt with Classic Industries, or NPD. Another place, but I haven't dealt with them, is Rick's Camaro Parts.
They are (now) an Ecklers company, which is huge and well established. I have dealt with Ecklers for many years for my Vette stuff.

Oof! Are they sending those caps over to you in a row boat? And you're welcome. Since I'm in the States I never had to check, does Classic Industries ship to you/internationally?

If it's Steve Camaro's out of S.S.F. you are in good hands, Steve has been in the business forever and he's very reliable.

I'm curious, if want to change the rake of the car to a more aggressive stance why not put a different Wheel/Tire combo and some 1" drop front springs. I love the stance I have on mine along with handling. Check my profile for pics.

You car, despite being an SS clone looks sweet! Thank you for your service and for representing First Gens overseas. Best of Luck
