Can someone tell me where the neutral safety switch is located on a 68 camaro v8 automatic. the car is now a stick shift car and i am having trouble with the ignition, not engaging the selinoide .

If console equipped, switch is on the shifter.
If column shifted, switch is on top of column at firewall inside.
Find harness connected to switch and jumper the two purple wires together.
Neutral safety switch also has an added function of a back-up light switch.
Reverse switch mounting for a manual trans would be on the trans reverse lever.
Several aftermarket houses, Classic Camaro, NPD, Heartbeat City, sell repo kits for hooking up back-up lights
