I need advise, replacing 69 power steering lines
#2
Not sure about your car, but on many cars the pulley on the power steering pump has to be removed in order to get to some mounting bolts. This requires a special puller which can be rented free from any of the big parts stores. You will also need good flare nut wrenches of the proper size to unscrew the hoses. The hose fittings are usually made of soft metal, and a cheap flare nut wrench or an open end wrench will open up slightly and round off the edges of the fitting, making it a real PIA to get it off and ruining it.
