Default How Do You Remove the Glovebox Door Lock Cylinder?

Hi Guys. I didn't see any clip or easy way to get the lock cylinder assembly out of the glovebox door. Anybody know how? Thanks!

I have wondered the same thing, but you're probably a step ahead of me... I don't even have a key for mine!

I am a locksmith by trade. You need to run a picking tool to the rear of the keyway to grab a wafer that retains the cylinder in the housing. I believe the lock must be in the locked position as well. Good luck

Just read my own post and realized I am making some assumptions. Once the retaining wafer is moved, the lock will pull inward, away from the firewall, and out of the housing. Then the latch assembly will be free as well.
