Gas leak, 68 Camaro

Gas leak, 68 Camaro
Hello friends!
So, on Saturday, I was romping around with my 68 Camaro, getting on it a bit. I parked it, got it on Monday, and noticed a smell of gas. I pulled over, and I saw a leak near my gas tank.. The leak stopped after about 20 seconds. I went inside after I knew the leak had stopped, I worked for an hour, came back out, started it, no leak.... What do you think this could be?
Specs:
68 Camaro, Crate 350ci/hp, Edelbrock EFI, speed pro pistons, com cam and lifters, turbo 350 auto trans, Edelbrock ceramic coated headers, flowmasters, 10 bolt (non-posi), power steering, power disc brakes, HD tri-core radiator.

must be in a place the fuel doesnt get to under normal condidtions. could be the cap is not sealing like it should or a hose or the gauge sensor bung at the top could have a bad seal or a hole rusted in it. if hose i would suspect the fill hose or vent hose that goes up by the fill cap if you have one. although i would think that would leak while filling.

Hmm, when I fill the tank with gas, I fill the tank at about 50% pressure from the gas hose or gas will spill near the gas cap. But, they spill in different areas..And this "new" leak has never happened, 1000 miles plus.

It is normal for '67 & '68 in not accepting full flow from pump, very common.
Could be the connecting hose between the sending unit line, by pass side, to the main line running forward on frame rail.
Since high temperature outside, hot surface road, and forward motion of Camaro, the tank will, or should, build pressure. When fill cap is removed, a sealed sytem has the tank build pressure and when cap is removed, it should shoot into your hand.
No pressure, bad cap, or in your case a dry rotted hose above rear pass side axle tube.
