Default Fuel Tank Sending Unit Replacement

Hi,

Just signed up to Camaro Forums today. I own a 1967 Camaro with 389,000 miles on it. I've been driving this car for 43 years as a daily driver

My gas gauge has been acting erratically and I'm wondering if I have to drop the gas tank to access the sending unit. I'm hoping there is an easier access such as going in through the trunk.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

David Gaber

Thank you for your reply.

Looks like I made a typical newbie mistake. I did a lot of navigating around the site to try to find the right forum.

I'll do better next time !

Thanks again.

Default Thanks MadMan

MadMan,

Thank you for the reply.

Not the news that I was hoping for but I'll bite the bullet and get it done.

Couldn't find this information anywhere else so your reply was very useful.

Default re: Fuel gage issue

You might want to check the ground and the send wire in the trunk before you drop the tank it may just be a bad ground.
