Default Front clip replacement opinions needed

I will be replacing the front clip on my 69 conv. this winter. I have a donor unit that I want to detail and rebuild for the swap. I am not looking to run a road course with this car, but would like to improve the steering/handling/feel of the front end. Any suggestions on ways to make improvements to the front end without going broke?

Thanks

Good Luck!

A disc brake conversion costs $1000 alone. You need bushings, tie rods ends, pitman arm, idle arm, torsion bar rubbers and ball joints too.

Already have disk brakes so that won't be in the cost. What about rack/pinion steering or control arm options? Anyone have experience with the bushing upgrades and thier effects?

I have swapped out the old bushings on my '67 Camaro years ago with the Energy Suspension polyurethane. Very tight after that. Handling was much better. The red bushings squeaked, so I put in the black ones with graphite. No more noise. Great stuff. I put them on my '71 front clip too.

You can check www.riskscamaros.com for oem type replacements or www.classicindustries.com for stuff as well.
