Flowmaster Tailpipes? 2.5" or 3"?

You can click my name in the upper left corner of this post and select view public profile. Then look at the exhuast job album, I got the cheapo headers from summit too, they are not part of the kit. I guess you know that now though.

Yeah, if you have a mellow big block, the 2.5" system will probably be ok.
My beast wants a 3" system though, which does add just a "tad" to the cost.

I just read the anouncment, I guess you have to have 10 posts to access some of the areas, I guess profiles may be one of those.

Mine is 2.5" from the headers to the dump before the rear axle right now anyway...

we put the summit 2.5" kit on our 69. Haven't started it yet....but we didn't use the mufflers that it came with (they are standard "turbo" style mufflers with 3 pipes to travel down, back, and down again to the exit). We put on Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers which I have on my Probe. Also used the cheap summit headers as well. We have a 350 in ours so the 2.5" piping should work well with the rpm range of the cam.
