I actually have 2 hoods in the shed, and one in the garage. I just hate to put a hole in any of them.

One flat steel hood, one fiberglass L88 lift off, and a real nice bolt on glass 4" cowl (the one I'm gonna use.............someday).

 

Ive been planning on going L88 since day one. is yours 3" rise? But Im gonna have to have one that will bolt to hinges. if I dont go L88 Im thinking a 4" cowl just because I like the way it looks. I cant bring myself to go with the same old 2" Cowl Hood. unless I just find one so cheap that I cant pass it up. like... I found a nice glass one in Tuscaloosa for a mere $100 but couldnt make the drive and it was gone in a flash. Id love to see pics of your hoods man.

 

I'll take some shots when I can, the ones in the shed are kinda buried. I went to a swap meet in the spring, and a guy had 2 glass cowl hoods, a used/painted 2" and an unmounted 4". It's the good kind, bolt/latch on with the finished underside. $150 and worth it. I prolly should have grabbed both of them. The 2" was yellow with black stripes....wooda looked mighty good on your car!
