Default SUSPENSION help please

want to redo my suspension on my 67 RS/SS Convertible, any recomendations on shocks??? Bilsteins vs Edelbrock vs KYB????
on leaf springs any ideas on how 4 leaf vs 5 leaf would affect ride height and handling.
Any help would be great.
Also any ideas on a sticky gas pedal? the car is geared very low, so its pretty scary when it sticks, it just launches when I press hard and dont feather it

Nice ragtop!
I used 5 leaf on my 72, the ride height was not much higher. I might have gained 1 inch in height.
I also replaced all bushings with urethane and mounted Bilstiens on the four corners of the car. The car corners like it is on rails, however there was considerable loss of ride quality, rear is pretty stiff.
Make sure your linkage to your carb is free and straight. Check the return spring on the carb, if you do not have the standard double spring, go buy a set and put them on. While you have the linkage off also check to see if the problem is the carb itself.

I'd stick with the 4 leaf. One of the best changes you can make is to Urethane Bushings and Gas Shocks though. I'm a fan of originality but I know a bunch of people that have made their first gen Camaro handle like a BMW with just those changes. The only problem with Urethane Bushings is the squeek, but they have a lubricant out that you apply every so often and it tends to keep the squeeks down. If you really want to mess around you can install a larger front section anti-roll bar but I'd be careful because you can make your car become excessively tight. I'm not a suspension geometry expert so I'd leave most of it alone other than upgrading to some better aftermarket equipment that they offer now.
