Disk Brakes Conversion

Default Disk Brakes Conversion

The non-power 4-wheel drum brakes on my 69 convertible don't work good. All looks good...drums, shoes, springs, etc and no leaks. Bled out, no bubbles either. But, does not seem to have a safe feel for stopping quick.

Would like to convert to power 4-wheel disk brakes. Does anyone make a conversion kit that is made in the good ole' USA? Also, this appears not to be too hard. Anything I should be aware of?

Since you've never done anything like this before, are you aware that you need to pull your rear axles to change to rear disCs?

CCP, Master Power, Wilwood, BAER, and countless others make kits for the car, or you could just buy a stock conversion kit from any number of other sellers

This is probaby one of the best 'conversions/mods' you could ever do for your car. When finished, you'll go throw rocks at your old brake system.
