Default Converting a 68 z28 coupe to Rs Z28

I am in the process of restoring a 68 z28 and since it needs the front end sheet metal redone, I was wondering how hard would it be to change it to a RS and if would it take away from its value if I did this modification?

It shouldn't be too hard depending on your skill level. There are companies out there who offer the kits, complete or in parts. You are looking at just over a grand for what you want to do. The value impact would depend on the end result. Are you looking for a Z28-RS or to swich the Z28 to an RS all together? I would keep it as a Z if it were me.

I was thinking about swicthing the Z28 to an Z28-RS all together. Hereare a few picsof the front. I like the looks of a Z28-RS version, but I don't want to lose any value if I changed mines that way. What do you think should I put it back to the origanal way it was or convert it toa Z28-RS?

If you plan on keeping the car, then build it to please YOU. But if it were me,and If the car is an original Z/28 and is numbers matching, I would restore it to original if there were any chance of selling later. Then again, it isn't that difficult to convert back if you do choose the RS route. That way you can drive it the way you like and if you decide to sell, just change it back. You can always sell the RS set-up to someone to recoup costs.

I think I read somewhere that 67 Z/28's did not have any badges. I might be confused.

The only visual designation for '67 Z/28 was the hood and trunk stripes and '302' on the front fender.
