Converting a LT1 to LS1?

Default Converting a LT1 to LS1?

I showed up to school today and my friend rode up in a new WS6 trans am with a LS1, and i have a LT1 in my 96-Z28 and i was just wondering whether i could convert a LT1 to a LS1.

any advice would be appreciated

Not too sure, why do you care so much, Just beef up your lt1

The Ls1 is a different motor then the lt1. The Ls1 is all aluminum, and the lt1 only has aluminum heads. You can't make a lt1 into a ls1, but you could take your lt1 out, and put in a ls1. You would have to change quite a few things, including the wiring harness, and computer.However, you would only be gaining a little horsepower and torquefor all the work you would have to do. I would say its definetly not worth it.
