Default Camaro Project Car

I have always been fascinated by the Camaro, specifically the 1969. I want to restore one after I graduate college and get a job that can support my dream to restore one. I was wondering how much this would cost me and how much skill it would require. I have no prior experiance with cars (I only have my permit). Here are some things I would like to know. I would love to use this car to not only weekend race (Course racing, but with the option to drag if I want to) but to drive around town.

I want to use an LS7 ($14000-17000). How much do you think a super or turbo would cost for it? Also, should I use either or should i keep it naturaly aspirated?

What transmission should I use? Should it be a 4, 5 or 6 speed, manual or auto?

What are other things I may need to upgrade/repair?

I plan on spending 10-15 grand on the car itself and I would not like to spend more than $40,000 on uprgades. Is it possible or should I plan to spend more? I have seen pretty beat up camaros for $10 and some really nice ones for 20-25 grand

Thanks for the help!

you also have to take into consideration of the rest of the chassis. you'll have to look at if you want to keep the stock sub-frame of replace it? what kind of shocks, springs, sway bars, what type of steering setup? also out back youll more than likely have to change the rear end. so then think 9-inch or 12 bolt? coil over rear suspention with 3 or 4 link setup or leaf springs? basically look at what you want to do by looking at different aftermarket companys and put together a rough list of the stuff you want and get a good idea on what it is going to cost.

What are some sites I can go to to check on parts?
LMPerformance - Camaro Parts, Mustang Parts, Corvette Parts, GTO Parts, Charger Parts, G8 Parts, Trans Am Parts and more. I've already been there, but I didn't see chasis parts.

Is that a too ambitious? I honestly don't know. As stated in before, I don't have any experience.

Say I have a real junker that only has the chasis, body and axels, what would I need to replace? I know that I would have to replace the enginge, transmission, front and rear suspension as well as the entire interior. What else do I need to replace
