Default BB 454 year differances, will it fit in my 69 ??

OK all, I am searching again.. for a BB for my 'new' camaro. I had a 0 mile totally built thumper engine found, but lost out when I did not jump up and buy itquick. Snooze you loose. I guess $2000 for arebuilt roller 454 complete top to bottom is a good price. Anyway, I did a search in the forums, and did not find my answer. I have settled on BB chevy.. 396, 427, 454.. I been search around. .. have found lots of different BB available. I just founda 85 Suburban that the guy is will to part out as the engine is the best thing in it. He installed a crate 454 carb motor in it 5 years ago.. 15k miles on it. Comes with a turbo 400 transmission..30k miles on that.. great for me as thats the tranny I want... But will it fit in my camaro? Seems like when I see motors for sale, its says 'truck' or 'car'. This guy says there is no differance, and I should be able to fit it in my '69 with the appropriate mounts..

Anyone know what engines are what and specifically, will this '85 Suburban 454 fit in my car?

Thanks for any info.. Dang, there are so many names for the BB, LS-1 THRU LS-7. I figured out the LS-7 are fuel injected.. not sure of the other differances in the generations..

THANKS! IamGman (oh, took more pics of my car, will post them in a bit on my other thread.. I got LOTS of work ahead of me

Yeah it should fit, just check to see if it's a tall deck.

he is just refering to a truck engine. they refered to them as "tall blocks". nothing to worry about. a big block, is a big block, is a big block
