Another Restoration Question
Hi Everyone,
I'm sure this question's been asked ad nauseum, but I tried to use the search feature repeatedly to no avail, and went back manually to December threads, so here goes:
I'm looking to restore a nonrusted, original correct 1967 RS/SS, with minimal anticipated bodywork. Exterior would require full body disassembly with color change paint, new brightwork, moldings and badges, as well as a new top. Would also like to convert to a power top while at it. Interior is pretty much done except for adding vintage air, repainting the console and part/or whole of the dash. The engine bay, and underbody will need painting/detailing , power brakes added (preferably disc), engine and transmission rebuild, and suspension rebuilt.
I'm not looking for a concourse trailer queen restoration, but something that would win a local car show. Reproduction parts would be fine if needed. My question is how much could I reasonably expect to pay? What if I just did the body and top first?
Second, can anyone recommend high quality restoration shops in the Southeast for this purpose?
Thanks!
