^ Keep in mind, an Impala hood is almost as big as an aircraft carrier! The hood's strength also depends on whether or not it's reinforced on the back side like a stock steel hood is.

i think those old drag cars used very thin aluminum to save as much weight as possible. these hoods might be a little heavier gauge. i know those z11's were pretty weak. but the 65 mopars used extreamly thin steel. u could twist a fender with ur bare hands they were so flimsy

They are reinforced in the back just like an original.. They are also EDP coated.
