True, but I haven't seen any of those cars on the road with paint flying off. So, as long as the aluminum is prepped correctly.....

Just trying to stay on the safe side lolz, just never had an aluminum hood and would probably be cheaper than fiberglass anyways

With the aluminum, you'll end up with a more stable and flat hood compared to the fiberglass one which could have ripples to deal with, as well as the chance of future stress cracking/checking/spider webbing of the paint.
As with any paint job, the details are in the prep work: http://www.custom-aerosol.com/pdf/PP...duct-sheet.pdf

Heh, I've got a crapload of info bookmarks archived from over the years. I could probably use those and wouldn't have to talk here at all if I didn't want to. lol

I'm not sure I would want an aluminum hood. I read the Jegs ad saw the comparison to the old A F/X cars

After my nostalgic Flash back I remembered how flimsy the old Z-11 Impalas hoods and fenders were.

I guess for a race car ok but if this is a driver No Thanks

I'm with you, I would think the aluminum would dent super easy.
