Default Alternators

Hey all
Maybe someone can help me on this one. I'm looking for an Alternator for my 69 true Z. I know the original p/n is 1100837 37Amps but to costly at this time. So my ? is what others Alternators will work and look like the 837's. Are their any differences between the 1100834's which is also 37 Amps and plentyful and about 1/4 the price.

Thanks for any info
Darrell

No difference between the two, just the date made.
You can go to a 55A alt as all alts use the same 515 Delco Remy VR.
You can also use a Wells P/N VR715 Electronic reg and transfer the cover to make it look OE.
