69 Camaro Window replacement
Have you removed the interior trim panels yet? After those are removed you should be able to gain access to the regulator and the rest of the assembly holding the glass.
Just took all the glasss out of my '68 about a month ago.
Yeah, the rear quarter glass is a bit tricky to get out.
I wote the steps down so I would be able to reverse them when installing the glass back. (keep in mind that mine is a 68 and a convertible which may make a bit of a difference). But here it is:
1. remove qurter window access plate (inside the car)
2. remove door jamb vents for easier access
3. raise window
4. loosen or remove the front guide adjustment bolts
5. work the front guide off the window rollers
6. have some one hold the window glass up and in place
7. turn window handle as though to lower it. This will allow you to work the regulator arm/roller off the rear of the window itself.
8. At this point the only thing holding the window up is the person holding it
9. rotate the window forward and lean the top of it slightly into the car. This will bring the wide section of the window to the widest opening on the body. (At the rear)
10. with some patience you will be able to work the window out of the opening.
The key is to rotate the window forward while leaning it into the car. Bringing the widest point of the window (the rollers) to the back where the body opening is the widest.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!!
