Hi, looking for advice on how to adjust my 69 Camaro trunk lid, when its closed its just a little to high. Not sure how to lower the trunk lid?

Is it hitting the rubber Bump stops? Or is the trunk twisted?

Thanks for responding to my question. Here are some pictures of the truck lid. Any advice would be appreciated, the trunk hinges both have a shim on the rear bolt.

Thanks, Ed

My guess is the weather strip stuff is too thick..and the DS rear corner it looks to be sticking up quite high

common (to thick) with several brands

You could try & remove the 2-round bump stops on lid to see if it is better and if so, shave those down...but from the pics your weatherstrip looks high

Thanks for the advice, can't remember where I ordered it from but I'll look at what different sizes there are. I've had the car for a long time so every now and then I start messing with things.

That would be my guess as well. Like SoCal said, the gasket doesn't look like it is seated properly in the corner.
I had the same issue with door gaskets being too thick and causing alignment issues.
Some people will say after some time they will relax and close better, some people will say try another brand.
I don't know if you can try using a heat gun, to see if that would relax the gasket some?
Looks like a nice looking car though.
