Default 69 Camaro Power Steering Fitting Problems

Hey everyone... Working on a project car and having some problems. We are replacing the manual steering with power steering. Its a 1969 Camaro and has a 327 in it and we have ordered a few different steering boxes and they all have an extra 3/4 in length on them that prevents them from fitting properly. They are coming into contact with the chassis. Is anyone else having this problem? Or know what I can do about it? The larger box is supposed to fit but it doesnt...

They should bolt right up. Some pictures would be helpful. I did the same swap a few years back and got a steering box out of a 2nd gen Camaro.

Where are you getting the box from? What part is 3/4 longer? It would be interesting to see if you had some pictures.
