Question 69 Camaro Basket Case

Fellas;

I'm new to Camaro Forums and wanted your opinions on a 69 Camaro basketcase my neighbor has.

The car is a gutted shell with rusty floors and trunk. Has doors and decklid. Front subframe is there but not installed. No rear end.

He has the title and the tags look like it is a 6 cyl car originally. (8th digit of vin is a 6)?

Anyway, I'm wondering if this car is worth picking up by anyone for a race car project. If I got it, I would just be looking to flip it since I already have a bunch of GTO projects. My selling price would be about $600.

Do you thing anyone would be interested in a rough car at that price point?

or should I not bother with it?

Thanks John

A gutted rusted out shell, with doors, trunk lid, and a bare subframe, is a parts car. Are the doors and lid good and solid at least?
Those alone are worth more than $600, if they're not rusted out.

The 8th digit of the VIN has nothing to do with the engine. The 3rd digit will be a 3 for 6 cyl or 4 for V8.

The eighth digit of the VIN is the beginning of the body serial number. 69's are numbered 500001-up.
