Default 68 W/84 350 4 bolt Top End

I have a 68 Camaro with an M21 Trans and 355 rear gears. The 350 engine I have came out of an 84 truck, ID number 14010207, 4 bolt main. I believe it has 8.5 to 1 compression with factory heads 76CC as well. The heads ID number is 14079261. I'm running a 650 Holley carb. The engine was supposed to have been rebuilt with over .030 bottom end, with a thumper cam, not sure what size, sounds just above stock, not much of a lope to it.
I would like to get more of a lope, sound and added compression. I was hoping to find a complete kit that wont break the bank. Maybe heads with 64 CC? Was told 488 cam lift to 456, around 240 duration with a decent intake, I have a factory polish intake now with a Cowl Hood. I believe the pistons are flat top, so I know the lift can't be huge.
I would like to go with the largest cam if possible around that will would with the heads and hopefully the compression is around 9.5 to 1 maybe even 10 to 1. I understand the push rods/rockers will need to be replaced as well. If it matters, have headers as well.

Just looking for a nice kit that gives a great sound, won't load up the cylinders with unburnt fuel and fowl out my plugs. The engine is strong, just missing that sound and prep.

Anyone try any of the kits out there for top engine?

Looking to have fun with the car.

How much money are you looking to spend?
Edelbrock makes a nice top end kit or look at some of the kits that Summit offers
