Default 68 camaro trans. identification needed

Hi,

Just looking for info. on the trans. I pulled out of my project car, it has a big J on top, and reads on the side GM 18 and 6260233..from what I googled its a th350 but not sure. It came with a 6 cyl. attached that I pulled out showing 3994257 GM 59, CON 2 91 and on the other side it reads 83, 257..from what I googled its a 250 67-72 yr. Not original, the car vin. is for a 8cyl.

just seeing how much I should ask $ for the 6 cyl (if anything).

Started this project car a week ago, and any help would be appreciated. Getting all metal work done in approx. 2 months..then pricing out front sub frame pro-touring style. Any help on any subject within again would be greatly appreciated.Name: 4-5-11009.jpg

The TH350 was not offered until 1969. It was tested on some late model 327/275 68 Camaros. If it is a TH350 it is not original but you already said the car had a 6 cyl but a V8 VIN anyway so everything was probably changed.

Thanks for the input... looking to get high hp small block or big block.. should I even hold onto the th350? if not, how much should I ask $ for it? same with the 6 cyl., how much is ballpark?

Will post pix of entire car soon... needs all metal, but floors were already done. Just finishing up dismembering.. getting estimate from TRIX TRIX RODS AND RACERS - CHOPPERZ BY TRIX - TED WALTERS in jersey... any reviews?
