Default 67 Window alignment issue.

On a 67 Camaro, I just replaced the weather stripping along the door and windows and now when the door shuts the window doesn’t line up like it should. The stripping I pulled out was extremely old, not sure how old but terribly crap old. The window is flush at the bottom but at the top it’s out by about an eighth of an inch, sticking out away from the car. I double checked the stripping and it’s on correct, then started playing with the window alignment. After an hour of adjusting it still does not line up. The gist is that when the window rolls up it doesn’t find its way into the stripping grove at the top and thus sticks out.

Frustration has officially set in, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!!

This is always an issue, and it is the most frustrating thing I ever did! I finally gave up and loosened everything up and rolled the windows up into the position I wanted. Then I snugged all the adjustments and lowered the window into the lowest position I wanted and set the bottom stops. That seemed to do it for mine.

Took me a while to get to this and once I did it seemed to all make sense. I first went with the method suggested above and it got much closer, then I spent a few minutes staring at all the possible adjustments, and tried again. Turns out there are enough possible adjustment combinations to do anything you need to adjust it into place. I would suggest if anyone needed to have this done to just do it yourself and play around with it. There were ultimately two that made a huge difference, one that pulled the window in against the frame at the top and another that adjusts the angle of the raise and lower. The only thing I needed to pay attention to was once finished there’s no gap between the window on the outside and the felt strip. Any gap and when it rains water will come into the door. I ended up ordering new felt as I have a small gap now I didn’t have.

Thanks for the help on this one

It's amazing how once you loosen everything up you get to seeing what does what. I fought mine for a long time until I did it this way, and then got it fitting.
Thanks for letting us know how it came out!
