67 RS- What is this part?!

The ground off of this melted and I’m not sure what it is or what it does. Having no luck finding it online. It sits behind the drivers headlight. Thanks in advance!

Finally found it, voltage regulator.

That looks like it was caused by a direct short to ground to damaged that wire like that. Is the burnt wire going into the connector? I've attached a wiring schematic to reference from. Was the car charging alright?

It was a direct ground caused by me. It melted the ground wire to the car ground. The VR connector seems fine and I will put it back together today and hopefully it all still works.
