rookie electrical question
This is a side note from my other thread.
Why does the wiring diagram show two grounds coming off the neg batt terminal? And where are they supposed to go? (on for engine one for frame?)
Also it appears that one of my ground wires has been cut (the smaller one). I never noticed it before. Unless there are two wires running in side the protective sleeve on the one wire coming off the neg terminal

Without the body ground you could have an incomplete circuit, or a low voltage situation from high resistance condition. Better replace the ground before you do any troubleshooting or your efforts will be in vane.
Also, the car has been this way for as long as I've had it, I've never noticed it until now. The reaosn I was asking what issues I might see is because I haven't really seen any.
The fusible links are inline with the positive supply wires, not the ground. I like using a 10 ga. wire for the body grounds. If it's easier for you, you can connect that wire to the same place on the engine block where you have the negative battery ground cable, and jump it to the firewall to a good clean spot.
