67 RS SS Big Block Vert
First post. I own a hot rod shop in Salinas Ca. that specializes in Tri Five Chevies, One of my good friends and client has asked me to freshen up his 67 SS. It is a one owner number matching car with the 396 /Turbo 400.
Car has 68,000 on the clock and has been garage kept its entire life.
I am looking for some guidance, need to order some stuff and would appreciate suggestions.
I need a full factory replacement exhaust, manifold are great, but the rest is pretty rusty.
Who sells a complete suspension rebuild kit. Being this is the 67 with the factory 4 piston calipers I am not sure what "Kit" to consider.
A convertible big block car is not very common it seems.
Thank you for looking at my posts, any advice will be gladly excepted.

OP, Heartbeat link will have more original, MOS, stuff....priced high. The other ones are the typical repop parts sources.
Other forums like Team Camaro or Camaro Research Group can be a resource for 411.
For just suspension replacement parts like MOOG or Proforged, Rockauto will be the lowest $. If you want date coded stuff for the 67 than Heartbeat is likely the source but again everything they have is not cheap
67 Vert 396/TH400 RS/SS is what my roommate had back then, worth preserving.

Old cars were not like new cars. I bought my first Camaro in 1979, It was a 74 with 56,000 miles on it. I paid $400 for it. Its needed a tone of work at 5 years old and 56,000 miles. That was why I got it so cheap. It would not pass state inspection. It needed suspension and brake work and the big one it needed a release bearing.
These pre 80's cars where pretty much worn out at 100K miles. When I was young the old timers used to say "they don't make them like they used to". They where right but not for the reasons they thought. People expect 100K trouble free driving these days. I can remembers vegas and early Chevettes that went for scrap in less than 5 years. The rust belt was tuff on cars that where not made well.
