67 Electrical Problem

67 Electrical Problem
I am having trouble with my 67 quitting. It idles in the driveway fine, even for up to 20 minues, but three times has quit when driving, two times doing it as soon as I hit 2nd gear. Getting fuel ok (even replaced fuel filter), so I think it is an electrical problem. I replaced the coil with no change in results. The negative wire from the coil to distributor looks pretty beat up, so I'll replace that tomorrow. Anybody have any other suggestions? Thanks oin advance for the help!

Does the car start up right away after it stalls? Before it stalls does it give any indications like missing or loss of power? Or does it just die suddenly without any warning?
You have changed the coil...which is typically the problem. It is a good idea to replace the negetive wire from the distributor if it looks questionable. The only other things to check is the rotor and the distributor cap itself.
What kind of an ignition system is in your car? Stock?
