I have installed the LED and removed them tried several and unless you buy really expensive the brightness is about the same when using stock housing and replacing just bulbs. You really have to go to aftermarket LED assembly and housing to get any degree of brighter light than standard modern incandescent..

Oh you mean just putting LED bulbs in place of the regular ones. I was going to get the entire LED panel that you install in the original housings. But after tinkering with my tail lights today and swapping out one of the old sockets, the bulbs are much brighter than they were. So I'm just going to swap out all the old sockets and bulbs and rewire it all nice and new and skip the LED make over.
