reverse lights stopped working?

Default reverse lights stopped working?

Hey, my reverse lights have suddenly stopped working and i dont know why, i have checked bulbs and fuses and they are fine, what else could i check?

its a 69 with a b&m shifter and gearstar transmision

check the switch on the transmission

No switch on the trans. But it does sound like a bad switch, or one out of adjustment. If you had a factory console shifter, the reverse switch is/was integrated with the neutral safety switch, on the shifter. If not that, then the switch is mounted on top of the steering column, closer to the firewall.

i think in the pictures is the one you mentioned the console neutral switch? is that the one that would stop the reverse lights working?

also in the pics near the fuse box there is 1 brown wire on its own with a black plug on it, does anyone know what that's for? i caught it and pulled it out by accident and cant see where its supposed to go, everything still seems to be working
