Default 383 Stroker Swap Pics and Vid

Its been quite a while since I've been on here but I had a busy summer. My wife and I moved back from overseas, bought a house at my new assignment, and I put a Blueprint 383 in the Camaro back in June. Just now getting around to posting about it though. Enjoy!

Oh yeah. It is ten times better than the old worn out 350 it had in it. I had been wanting to swap the engine out for awhile but could never really justify spending the money at the time. But then the old engine spun a rod bearing and I had all the reason I needed.

Looks Good ... are them Alum. heads I see ??? Always been curious about the 383, but running a 4speed I've wondered how that would work out. With a 383 don't you have to use a 400 flywheel and harmonic balancer ?

Yep came with aluminum heads. And yes I had to use 400 flexplate and balancer. One of these days I want to do a t56 six speed conversion on it.

Wow that sounds great. We are finishing up our 56 and are trying to decide on mufflers for the ZZ4 we are running. What did you install. By the way we have a 67 Camaro I just promised I would finish the 56 before i started on it

It has bullet mufflers right after the headers and then just straight pipe that dumps over the axle.

Beautiful Camaro. Sounds great. I was hoping to see some tire smoke in that Video.
